India is the third largest contributor of e-waste in the world after China and the USA. WE The Recycling company, a startup based in Mumbai, is focused on providing one-stop solution to all kinds of electronics and electrical waste. We support brands, manufacturers, corporate companies, government organization, educational institutes, NGOs, hospitals, and residential complexes to manage and recycle their e-waste and also provide a green certificate of recycling. We conduct pan-India awareness campaigns and collection drives to create social, environmental, and economic impact.
The speaker of the program was Dr. Payal Nandurkar, founder of WE The Recycling Company. She talked about waste management-related instances, requirements, and benchmarks.

Dr. Payal Nandurkar holds a Ph. D. in Chemistry from Institute of Chemical Technology, Mumbai. During her Ph.D, she worked on “Waste minimization strategies using novel catalysis and green chemistry”. Then she got an opportunity to work on CO2 capture technologies at the Center for Applied Energy Research, University of Kentucky, USA. Thereafter, she spent 8 years with Reliance Industries Ltd as a senior scientist in R&D on process development and scaleup of multiple projects. She holds a total of 17 years of experience in all types of waste management and recycling.
Dr. Payal has been recognized with many accolades during her academic and industrial career. She has participated in multiple national and international conferences to present her research work. In addition, Dr. Payal has been certified with several leadership and entrepreneurship courses.
With the problem-solving attitude and passion, Dr. Payal always wanted to contribute more to the society for larger and long-lasting impact. Our actions today will have profound implications on the lives of our future generations. To make a positive impact on the environment, she has launched her own start-up WE The Recycling Company with a mission to close the loop of circular economy and sustainability. WE provide a one-stop solution to all types of electrical and electronic waste and also provides a green certificate of recycling. WE conduct Pan India awareness campaigns and collection drives to create social, environment and economic impact. WE are collaborated with several NGO’s, RWA’s, corporate government organizations, hospitals and educational institutes.
