Drones are small or medium-sized unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs). They're unique in that they can drive remotely and autonomously, and they're capable of maintaining a controlled, sustained level of flight.
This workshop will help newcomers to understand various aspects of Drones
During the workshop, participants will learn about design and construction of Drones.
This workshop is suitable for both, beginners and experienced radio enthusiasts, who want to expand their knowledge of design and improve their skills.
Brief Biodata
Dr.A.Kaviyarasu received his Doctorate from Anna University, Chennai. He is currently working as an Assistant professor in the Division of Avionics, Department of Aerospace Engineering, MIT campus, Anna University for the past seven years. He completed his research programme and masters (Avionics) in the Department of Aerospace Engineering, MIT Campus, Anna University, Chennai. His area of interest are UAV modeling & simulation, and Avionics systems. He is one of the active members of team “DHAKSHA” (A Small unmanned aerial vehicle developed by his team was utilized for various civil and military application) and has involved in various development activities. He is awarded by former Indian President Dr.A.P.J Abdul Kalam for his innovative ideas, skills and his contribution to science and technology. He has been awarded as “Excellence in innovation” by the former Vice Chancellor of Anna University for his contribution in the field of Unmanned Aerial Vehicle. He published more than 17 papers in reputed International Journals and 15 papers in national and international conferences. Currently he is working on Robot operating system (ROS) and Swarm of Drones. As a part of his academic activities, he is interested in radio communication, antennas and home brewing.
